Communication, Event & EU Project Manager
About me
My name is Petros Makris-Kourkoulos and I have a long experience in the European Institutions through advocacy and management of European associations based in Brussels. I acquire an MSc in International Politics and Affairs from the University of Bristol, UK with specialisation in economies of developing countries from the Balkans and the African continent. I also have experience in event management, research analysis, communication, and journalism. I am currently working as a Chief Operating Officer at the European Business Council for Africa (EBCAM) and at the same time, I started working for the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) in March 2022 as a Communication, Event and EU Project Manager where I am dealing with EU funded projects and the communication of the association. I live in Brussels the last 11 years and I speak Greek, English and French.
In my free time, I love playing guitar and drums, collecting vinyls, translating literature, exploring Brussels’ hidden places and being part of a basketball team.
