PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SupportSphere – Prevent VET students from going NEET, is an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union. The project focuses on strengthening career guidance, social support and peer mentoring in vocational education and training, with the aim of helping young adults make informed career decisions and reducing the risk of becoming NEET.
The project places particular emphasis on the role of VET trainers and social support networks in young people’s career decision-making processes. Through practical tools, training activities and an online support environment, SupportSphere aims to empower both VET trainers and learners, fostering more inclusive, supportive and learner-centred approaches to career guidance.
OBJECTIVES
- To support young adults in making informed career decisions by strengthening their social support networks and providing self-evaluation tools for professional interests.
- To empower VET trainers through a dedicated Handbook and Training Programme on career guidance and social support.
- To create a peer mentorship support system that fosters collaboration, communication and exchange between young learners and working peers.
- To raise awareness about the importance of career guidance and social support in preventing disengagement from education, training and employment.
RESULTS
- A SupportSphere Handbook for VET trainers, including practical guidance, research findings and strategies for supporting young adults in career decision-making.
- A Training Programme for VET trainers focused on career guidance, social support and inclusive approaches.
- An online tool and e-learning space to support young adults in exploring their professional interests and connecting with peers.
- A peer mentorship support system based on collaboration, exchange of experiences and open communication

- Peer mentors, young workers and organisations active in youth support and career guidance.

EVTA’s ROLE
- Lead dissemination and exploitation activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of all work packages.
- Support communication with stakeholders, associated partners and European networks.
- Promote project results at European level through EVTA’s communication channels and VET network.
