PROJECT DESCRIPTION
DIGICARE is an Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership that aims to strengthen the digital competences of social intervention professionals working in contexts of social exclusion. The project focuses particularly on the practical use of data management systems and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to design, implement and evaluate social intervention actions more effectively.
Through open educational resources (OERs), training modules, and a web-based learning platform, DIGICARE bridges the gap between social intervention practice and VET/CVET training provision, ensuring that advanced digital tools become an integral part of professional training and daily work in the social sector.
OBJECTIVES
Improve digital capacities of social intervention professionals working with disadvantaged and excluded groups
Equip professionals with practical skills in data management and AI applied to social intervention
Modernise VET/CVET curricula related to social intervention by integrating advanced digital competences
Promote data-driven and evidence-based social intervention methodologies
Strengthen cooperation between social intervention organisations, VET providers and research institutions
RESULTS
OERs on best practices in social intervention, including replicable methodologies
Training modules on data management and AI applied to social intervention
Recommendations for integrating DIGICARE resources into VET/CVET programmes
A multilingual, accessible web-based training platform hosting all project outputs
A pilot international training session for professionals using DIGICARE resources
TARGET GROUPS
- Primary Target Groups:
Social intervention professionals (social workers, social educators, psychologists, youth workers, integration technicians)
VET and CVET providers in social intervention and related fields
- Secondary Target Groups:
Volunteers and youth workers
Local institutions and public bodies
Trainers and educators in social-related disciplines
- Final beneficiaries:
- People and communities living in contexts of social exclusion, indirectly benefiting from improved and more effective social intervention practices
EVTA’s ROLE
European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) acts as the VET-sector expert and dissemination multiplier, contributing by:
Supporting the design of training methodologies and EQF-aligned integration guidelines
Leading the development of recommendations for embedding DIGICARE resources into VET/CVET curricula
Ensuring European-level dissemination and uptake through its wide network of VET providers, policymakers and stakeholders
Supporting newcomer partners with Erasmus+ expertise
