PROJECT DESCRIPTION
AI is a transformative force in modern society, yet many students finishing compulsory education lack understanding of its workings, potential opportunities, and necessary precautions. In a digitally advancing Europe, integrating AI education is both urgent and essential.
This project is driven by the need to equip VET (Vocational Education and Training) teachers and students with the skills to engage in AI and sustainability projects. We aim to create a comprehensive system offering:
- AI KIT: Includes a microprocessor, cameras, sensors, and actuators for hands-on learning.
- MooC: An online course titled “AI-SAVES: Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Automated Vision for Environmental Solutions” to enhance teacher capacity.
- AI-SAVES@ProjectHub: A resource hub for sharing pedagogical projects within the VET community.
- #AI-SAVES VET Clubs: Establishing clubs in participating schools to disseminate knowledge and foster ongoing development.
By providing these tools, strategies, and approaches, we aim to bridge the skills gap, prepare the workforce for AI-driven changes, and promote sustainable solutions.
OBJECTIVES
- Raise awareness of the sustainability and develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
- Develop the skills and confidence of teachers in the development and use of a AI solutions.
- Encourage teachers to design and share innovative and effective practices to sustainability through a strategy based on the design and use of AI based technologies.
- Create a network of #AI-SAVES VET Clubs, where students and teachers can produce collaborative solutions in order to address issues around sustainability.
- Reinforce the link between schools, NGOs, companies, teacher training centers, professional associations of teachers, and universities.
RESULTS
- AI@SAVES KIT.
- 2 onsite training programme.
- AI@SustainabilityProjectHub.
- International network of collaboration with VET Students, VET Teachers/Trainers, companies, universities and other relevant stakeholders.

EVTA’s ROLE
- Contribution with 8 projects to the Hub.
- Lead the European Online contest.
- Host the final conference.
- Organize 2 Nacional replication workshop.
