The Successful Completion of #SMEsGoDigital: A Step Forward in Digital Transformation for SMEs
The project ‘Empowering SMEs for their digital transformation’, also known as ‘#SMEsGoDigital’, has been successfully completed this February (2024).
The #SMEsGoDigital project concerns the development of a specific online support tool tailored to the specific needs and requirements of SMEs, in order to guide and train them in their digital transformation efforts.
This tool, accessible through an online portal, provides digital resources aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and competences of SMEs’ human resources, promoting their gradual digital transition.
The project was implemented in the framework of the European ERASMUS+ programme under the KA220-VET action – “Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training” with the Small Enterprises Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants (IME GSEVEE) in Greece, as lead partner.
The project, with a total budget of 280,195 euros and a duration of 24 months, is the result of a partnership of the following organisations across Europe:
- From Greece: IME GSEVEE (Lead Partner) and Mathesis4FC.
- From Italy: ENAIP Veneto and ECIPA.
- From Belgium: European Vocational Training Association (EVTA).
- From Spain: Petita i Mitjana Empresa De Catalunya (PIMEC).
Finally, it is noteworthy that the partnership organised a series of multiplier events in order to inform all stakeholders about the possibilities offered to them through the online platform and the exploitation of the results of the project.
In conclusion, the successful completion of the #SMEsGoDigital project marks a significant step in empowering small and medium enterprises, highlighting the collaborative efforts of organisations across Europe towards fostering digital transformation and enhancing the capabilities of SMEs.
