The European Vocational Training Association is one of the most important European networks in vocational education and training, comprised of members from 12 European countries. The members act in vocational training, representing training organisations, public employment services, regional authorities and companies. EVTA’s members manage approximately 1000 regional and local training centers, employ 35,000 trainers and train over 1,000,000 per year.
EVTA’s mission is to provide a framework improving the employability of people through exchanges with the labour market, defining and anticipating requirements for human skills and support its members in their respective answers to the challenges of growth, competitiveness and social cohesion in the field of vocational training and lifelong learning. EVTA offers an EU-project & office assistant Internship for recent graduates to work with our staff in our Brussels office.
Main tasks and responsibilities concerning EU projects development
- Assistance in implementing project activities
- Support for the organisation and administration of project activities (meetings, dissemination activities, multiplier events, etc.)
- Support for reporting and evaluation of project results
- Assistance with project-based communication tasks
Main tasks and responsibilities concerning office management
- Assistance for the daily running of the organisation
- Administrative and financial activities (book keeping and accountancy)
- Facility management of all office, equipment and supplies
- Assistance for the organisation of network events and statutory meetings (board meetings, GAs)
- Support with Social Media management (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter) and online marketing
Required skills and experience
- Proficient in written and spoken English, very good knowledge of French is considered an asset
- Prior experience in project related activities and/or good knowledge of EU institutions and funding programmes
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office package and Google apps
- Precise and organised way of working
- Motivated, meticulous and professional
- Flexible and adaptable
- Proactive, able to give to your work a personal touch
Terms and conditions
- Internship duration 6 months
- The internship should begin in September 2018 (date tbd)
- The Intern is encouraged to have an Erasmus+ traineeship scholarship or equal funding. EVTA may provide selected candidates with a top-up grant to cover transport costs.
Highly valued
- Experience in local, national or European policy in education and training
- Fluency in other European languages (e.g. Italian, German, Spanish)
- Volunteer experience
